VINCENNES, Ind. - In a move aimed at revolutionizing the way technology serves the institution, Vincennes University announces the transformation of its intranet platform, formerly known as MyVU, into VUExperience (VUX). This strategic shift signifies a new era in technological advancements and reflects the University's commitment to harnessing the power of technology to benefit its faculty, staff, and students.

At the forefront of this transformative endeavor is Chief Information Officer Jaci Lederman, whose visionary leadership and dedication to enhancing the technological landscape at VU have been instrumental in shaping this innovative change. She believes technology should empower individuals and foster a seamless user experience. Lederman has been at the helm of spearheading the transition to VUX.

"We are thrilled to introduce VUExperience as the next evolution of our intranet platform," Lederman said. "Our goal is to create a digital environment that adapts to the needs of the VU community, rather than requiring them to adapt to technology. VUX embodies our commitment to providing an intuitive, user-friendly platform that enhances productivity, collaboration, and engagement across our university community."

Many VU students, staff, and faculty are expressing their appreciation for the new system.

Area 30 Career Center Site Coordinator Caitlin Wyatt said, “I love VUX. I've been playing around with it, and it is extremely user-friendly. I've been adding cards with ease! I love that the applications I use every day are now in one location. It's truly amazing, so kudos to you and your team. You all are amazing, and I greatly appreciate it."

VUX is set to deliver a wide range of enhanced features and functionalities that will transform how individuals interact with VU’s digital ecosystem.

Among the notable improvements are a streamlined and intuitive interface, personalized dashboards, and simplified navigation, ensuring a customizable user experience for all.

Looking toward the future, Lederman expressed excitement for technological advancements on the horizon.

"We are constantly exploring cutting-edge solutions to further augment the Vincennes University experience," Lederman said. "As we build upon our use of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, we will provide intelligent virtual assistants to leverage data analytics for predictive insights and embrace continued delivery of inclusive technologies."

Information Technology major Marianna Guillen said she was happy to say goodbye to the former MyVU site, which only offered embedded links, and to start using the VUX customizable dashboard that can be tailored to fit the specific needs of each user.

By harnessing the power of emerging technologies, VU aims to empower its faculty, staff, and students with advanced tools and resources that support their educational and administrative endeavors. This forward-thinking approach is set to enhance collaboration, streamline processes, and foster a culture of innovation throughout the University.

As VUX launches, the VU community eagerly awaits the exciting possibilities that are ahead.
