It was great to see so many new and familiar faces as we welcomed students back to campus for the 2022-23 academic year. Welcome Week was packed with fun and unique events. We look back at a splendid first week.

Students partying under the stars at the Silent Headphone Disco at the Intramural Fields. They are dancing and singing at the top of their lungs because no one can hear them.

Monday means Movie Night at Jefferson Student Union. "Rudy", one of the greatest sports movies of all time, plus free food, trivia, and prizes brought the students out.

The next night, the real-life Rudy and Notre Dame football legend who inspired the movie, "Rudy", shared his life story with VU students, faculty, and staff at Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. Rudy Ruettiger also signed autographs and posed for photos.

Students took a break from classes for the Blazer Block Party. They enjoyed a lively afternoon of caricatures, lifesize bowling, and airbrushed tattoos.

More fun in the Sun! Playing an epic game of Jumbo Jenga at Welcome Back Picnic.

At Rock the Rec, students showed no mercy during a rousing musical chairs contest at the Student Recreation Center.

Week one is in the books. We are looking forward to all the amazing experiences and entertaining activities ahead for Fall Semester 2022.
