June 18, 2019 / Specialized responder courses beginning at Vincennes University

VINCENNES, Ind. – VanMor Agency, specialist rope rescue and confined space service provider, and Vincennes University Business & Industry, the University’s workforce training area, have launched Rope Rescue Operations Technician and Confined Space Rescue training programs at the VU Gibson County Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics in Fort Branch and VU Logistics and Training Education Center in Plainfield starting in July.

Both courses are offered at VU LTEC and VU Gibson Center. The courses offered serve as test preparation courses for first responders seeking Rope Rescue Operations, Rope Rescue Technician, and Confined Space Rescue Operations certifications through the state of Indiana. Training topics include basic rope safety principles, rope equipment and systems, low and high angle rescues, life safety knots, anchor systems, victim packaging techniques, confined space safety principles, NFPA 1006, and rescue equipment and systems.

The Rope Rescue Operations Technician Training courses will be held July 8-13, 2019 at VU Gibson Center. It will be held July 22-27, 2019 at VU LTEC.

The Confined Space Rescue Training courses will be held July 15-20, 2019 at VU Gibson Center. It will be held July 29-August 3, 2019 at VU LTEC.

The registration fee per class is $925 or $875 per class when pairing the two courses: Confined Space Rescue Training and Rope Rescue Operations Technician Training.
